While we are not certified organic at this time, we do use non-gmo seeds, organic growing medium, and 100% compostable containers.  We never use any pesticides and utilize sustainable growing practices. 

Actually, no sprouts and microgreens are vastly different, from the way they're grown, to the point in the grow in which they're harvested. Sprouts are grown in water, creating an environment that bacteria  live in and can thrive. They are harvested before true leaves form. Microgreens are grown in a soil "medium" and are far less likely to have bacteria on them. Microgreens are harvested once the first real leaves form and go through photosynthesis, giving them their color. 

We're so glad you asked! We actually eat microgreens on a regular basis in our household, its not just something we sell. Our kids have started asking for them! **what?!??!? Kids love them too?** They go great on sandwiches, as a garnish, make them into a salad, maybe a desert addition.... 

We update our blog regularly with recipe/use ideas and information highlighting these amazing little greens (or pinks or purples depending on the type).
